I'm so excited to be joining the Friends of Speedy TV (FOSTV)Design Team
at
Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps (a Hendrich Company)!
The Challenge (#79) for my very first card is
4th of July
I've used the Be Proud 2013 Stamp Set for this creation which you can purchase here.
Here is my photo tutorial, if you care to follow along.
The "United We Stand" sentiment was stamped with the Black ink, scor-tape was placed around it and glittered.
The ends were cut in a "V" and distressed with the Fired Brick Distress Ink.
After stamping the heart image with the black archival ink
(and left to dry - VERY important otherwise it will smear),
I colored the image with colored pencils, added the crystal sparkles craft paint to the white stripes and the outside of the image and cut to size.
Cut a piece of white card stock larger than your main image and cover the outside edges with embossing ink. Emboss with red tinsel powder.
Cut some of the small red starts from the glitter roll and attach to image with glue dots.
Use foam tape to attach image to embossed heart.
The crystal sparkles were added to the outside of the heart image
Lengths of red and blue ribbon were attached to the white card base with the ATG (spacing to fit) and the glitter roll was attached to the top and bottom of the card.
One of the sentiments was attached with foam tape for placement of the remainder of the embellishments.
I added a white satin bow attaching with clear foam tape. A few more of the stars from the glittered roll were cut and added randomly to the heart and the bow, and the heart sentiment and border were added with foam tape. |
