Birdie Air Mail

That's the name of this digi from
who is our sponsor this week at
Challenge #70 -
 ANIMALS

I made this 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" card for my Design Team Inspiration

I use colored pencils to color my images
(because I'm waiting on the
 Spectrum Noir Fairy
to bring me more than the 15 or
20 pens I currently have)

The base of the card is covered in a bright yellow card stock (cut to 5 1/4" x 5 1/4")

I added a layer of white tulle cut to approximately 5 1/2 x 5 1/2
(any of you that have cut tulle, knows that it is difficult to get to an EXACT size,
it kind of moves around when you are trying to trim it)

Everything is attached with my ATG

I added the blue "cloud" parchment paper (5 x 5") and added a strip of ribbon.
The sentiment was distressed around the edges and attached with foam tape.

I fussy cut the little hat and added it to the image with a pop dot
(which was really too thick, but the first one's I've ever purchased and didn't know any better).
Bling was added to the corners and the hat.

I use a thin strip of clear foam tape that I buy at Home Depot to attach my bows
(it is REALLY sticky)

Bling flowers were added to the center of the bows I made out of ribbon and tulle scraps.
Close up of tulle (it's a little difficult to see in the other photos)

Please tell me that I am not the only one who occasionally has to
stamp a sentiment
over and over,
not being able to decide
which color,
 to emboss or not, etc.
Here is the proof that today was one of THOSE days!

Once I finally chose the ink, the sentiment was stamped and die cut,
 distressed and
attached to the card with
foam tape on the right side and
 ATG on the left
(next to the image which was already raised).

Everyone meet Trix
One of my two (2) rescues.
She is a Black Lab mix (unknown variety),
who was recently diagnosed with cancer.
We were given a very short time to "enjoy" her,
being told by the Vet to take her home and spoil her;
that it was a very aggressive and fast growing tumor/cancer.
Apparently it was an incorrect diagnosis,
since ALL of her symptoms have disappeared
(including the grapefruit sized "tumor" on the side of her face).

She (and Sadie, the 40 pound pug) is ALWAYS  in the studio with me
and as you can see,
sometimes REALLY close to me.

I love my fur babies and wouldn't have it any other way!!!

Trix and I appreciate you stopping by today.
We wish you a beautiful and blessed day!
Trudy
