I hope your Tuesday is terrific!
Sadly it is my last time posting as a
Guest Designer at MFP/Sketch With A Twist
since I have now completed my month's challenges.

My blog post today,
Challenge # 52
the twist is to "Use A Number on Your Card"

The image and the sentiments are from the
This is a really cool set with lots of sentiments.

I've used the word
 "Second"
in the sentiment "Nature's Second Spring"

Here is a little photo tutorial for the making of this card

Images were stamped and embossed, cut to size, and  mounted with a beige piece of card stock and then another piece of the Kraft Paper

The edges were distressed with ink

I must have stamped the smaller image
10 different times
(brown ink, black ink, embossing ink)
until I was somewhat happy with it.

My first attempt was to surround the sentiment with 1/8" scor tape and add gold glitter.
Since the glitter didn't match the gold embossing, I scrapped that one too.
Ended up using one that was stamped in black ink and adding embossing ink with an embossing pen and using the same gold embossing powder that was on the rest of the card

My "designer paper" for the background was made from the beige cardstock and inked with the
Tim Holtz distress inks and paints.
A strip of gold ribbon (from stash) was attached with the ATG

Liquid Pearls were added randomly

Materials Used:

  • Colorbok Kraft and Beige Card Stock
  • Tim Holtz Distress Stain (polished brass and vintage photo), Distress Paint (Antiqued Bronze)
  • Inks:  ColorBox Archival Blask, Stampabilities Brown Pigment Ink Pad, Tim Holtz
  • Liquid Pearls (Dark Chocolate)
  • Recollections Sparkle Embossing Powder in Clear Gold
