April Fool's

It's Monday - time for a new challenge at
This week is Challenge #56 -
 April Fool or Funny Birthday Card

A 5 1/4" x 4" piece of dark purple card stock was embossed with a
Spellbinders M-Bossabilities Reversible Embossing Folder - Awesome Blossoms.
  Attach a 6" piece of red ribbon approximately at the halfway point of the purple paper.
 Attached to card base with ATC.

The digi image was printed on card stock and then copied on velum.

  I inked the velum  wings (1 top and 2 bottoms) with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Mustard Seed,
 cut them out, sprayed with goosebumps and added clear glitter.
 I had a little difficulty with the velum curling and
 wonder if I should have waited to cut it until after all the extras.
 (Will try both ways next time).   

Once dried, I attached 2 bottom pieces and one top piece of the wings with white glue and attached them to the base image with foam tape. 

 The original digi on the card stock was colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  
Cut  both the image ( 3 5/8" x 2 1/4") and the sentiment (3 3/4" x 1")  and back with red card stock and  (trim to fit)
 attached with foam tape. 

 1/2 " scor-tape was attached around the edge of the sentiment and the image and sprinkled with a mixture of purple and clear glitter.

I added one red satin rose  and some bling to Bo's thorax and antenae

The inside sentiment was just something I came up with and printed using a Word Program
cut to 4 3/4 " x 3 3/4" and mounted on a  4 3/4" x 3 1/2" piece of purple card stock,
  and attached to the card base with my ATC.

After the photos were posted to my DT site, I found some little wiggly eyes that I wish I would have added (they were actually just a smigin' too big, but cute).

This is a really quick and easy card with a limited amount of supplies needed to pull off an impact.
