Using vellum on your project

Friends of Speedy TV Challenge 122 - Use Vellum 04/28/14

Happy New Week - hope your weekend was lovely!

Please join us in our new FOSTV challenge this week - this time we want you to use Vellum on your card or project.

Every Monday our Challenge Hostess Janine Brain and her team will challenge you with new themes.

Challenge Winner Guidelines
We encourage you to participate in all of our challenges.
Please limit your submissions to 5 per challenge, per week.

Each submission needs to be a new card (no cards that have been posted prior to the challenge date).

Please do not submit the same card for every challenge, each submission should be a different card for each submission and each  challenge.
This challenge posts every Monday by 8 AM. (It could be earlier!)

This A2 card was started with a white base.  Cutting 2 additional pieces of the same white cardstock (less 1/8" on each side - or 2 pieces 5 1/4" x 4 1/4") which I then "painted" with Folk Art #2875 Jellybean Pink Extreme Glitter and #2887 Pink Rouge Pearl Acrylic Paints from Plaid

I cut some small pieces of vellum and experimented with various white embossing products I had on hand.  I decided to use the Recollections Snow Detail Embossing Powder (Michael's Crafts)

The two smallest flowers on the Camellia 2014 Stamp Set from Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps were stamped with VersaMark Dazzle Archival Oil Based Watermark Stamp Pad (Tsukineko) and heat embossed.
A little bit of Recollections Extra Fine Snow Glitter was added using a Martha Stewart Crafts glittering glue and fussy cut the images once they were dry.  I would do this process AFTER cutting the images as I lost some of the glitter as I moved the paper while cutting the vellum.

The top layer was attached with an ATG, and stamped my "LOVE" sentiment (also from the Camellia 2014) stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps) with the same embossing process as the flower.

The flowers were attached with Tacky Dots, some Bling on a Roll (Recollections ) was cut in various lengths and applied to the card, as well as a white satin bow.

This bling was found in the wedding aisle at one of the crafts stores I buy from and attached it to the center of the bow with hot glue.

2nd piece of painted card stock was added to the inside of the card with an ATG.

We are looking forward to seeing your entries so please post them up and add your links below.  Someone will win the MFP stamp set Halloween Selections
