You Are In My Prayers, Tsunami Rose Style

These designer papers from Tsunami Rose Designs are perfect for this 6" x 6" card, the subtle colors and softness works so well with the sentiment.

These beautiful papers are part of a collection which is about to be retired.
Daisy is having a terrific sale on many of these incredible papers on her Etsy and Zibbet shops.
Head on over to her shop before this sale is over and these are gone.

Gathering Supplies - what to use, what to use......

The Brown card base was cut 6" x 6".  The paper is cut 5 3/4" x 5 3/4".  The panel is 2" x 5 1/4" and the brown backing was trimmed to fit.  All layers are distressed with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink.

The layers are attached with an ATG

1 1/2" Score Tape is applied to the top and bottom of the cheese cloth before attaching the panel to the card front

The rose is cut from the second sheet of printed papers

After fussy cutting the rose the edges were distressed with the Vintage Photo Distress Ink

Goosebumps is sprayed on the rose for texture

The beading is from my stash and is added to the card with Tacky glue

The sentiment, a Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps set called Lots of Words 2013, was stamped with ColorBox Pigment Archival Black

Both layers are distressed on the edges with the Vintage Photo Distress Ink

Foam Pop Dots are applied to the rose and foam double sided tape to the sentiment blocks (each layer) and then attached to the card

The antique lace is died with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Stain .

The feathers were died with the Distress Stain and after drying, are attached with hot glue.
Add the cherub button and home made stick pins.

Copper colored parchment paper is cut 5 3/4" x 5 3/4"  to fit the inside of the card and attached with an ATG.

This is an 5 1/2 x 8 1/2" journal made with the newly released Petticoat Ephemera Journal Kit from Tsunami Rose Designs. "Petticoat Ephemera" is a grungy shabby chic printable journal that is full of vintage feminine elements and of course FULL of flowers!

Kit include:
-10 pages that will print (20) 5x7 journal pages
-6 pages of sentiments, ephemera, cutouts, tags and envelopes
-Front covers, inside covers and a full lined page for more journaling

There are endless possibilities on what you can do with this kit, print as many times as you need.
Simply print out the pages and begin assembling your journal - it's that easy

I print out all of the pages, cut and trim everything and organize the cutouts and tags before beginning any layouts.

Then I match them up with my papers.

These kits are so easy to work with.
I absolutely love all the colors and flowers.

Between each of the decorated pages is 2 sheets of lined journaling pages for lots of writing.

These Are The Moments I Live For

I've used the Ephemera Sampler #2 - Motherly Love, a mix sampler of ephemera, sentiments, tags and other little bits that can make your card or project special.

No element on this sampler mix is bigger than 4"x4" Prints perfectly on 8.5x11 on regular cardstock. It's a lovely sampler with beautiful colors.

I enlarged the "post card" on my printer so that I could use it as my background and then just mounted the sentiment and the card to black cardstock, added some ink distressing, lace, ribbon and bling.

Music Journal using Tsunami Rose Designs Monochrome Brown Designer Papers

I have an awesome friend, Jeanne, who plays the guitar and banjo and enjoys going to Bluegrass Festivals.
I wanted to make a journal for her to use at one of the festivals with a place for photos, business cards, journaling, pics, strings,  lyrics and guitar chords.

It had to be able to open flat for her to look at while she played, so I used an album type of layout, with a Want 2 Scrap Chipboard Journal Cover and Spellbinders dies.

The designer papers from Tsunami Rose's Monochrome Collection were perfect for this journal.

I really like this collection with all of it's jouraling cards, preprinted sentiments and ephemera.

This is Chapter One of this Journal, with more to follow soon!
