Oh, Nuts!

I Miss You!

Great little card to send to some family I've been thinking about so very much lately.
It's my Design Team (DT) inspiration for the

 Food Challenge

 at

Tammy's Scrapin Corner

this week.
 I've used our Sponser,

 Eureka

 Digi's  - Nutty Squirrel and
Oh Nuts sentiment, as well as their
"I Miss You" sentiment on the inside.

I hope you have a few minutes to scroll through my photo tutorial.

Jeesh - I'm REALLY wishing that I had some
 markers -
sometimes the colored pencils look great for me and
 sometimes they,
 well, they just
DON'T.
I have several different brands of them and am wondering i
f their differences are not allowing them to blend together.
  Any suggestions?

Please leave a comment with any questions regarding products or techniques I used.
I would love to hear what you think.

Wishing you a blessed Monday!

My Idea of Camping Is A Holiday Inn On The Beach!

And I'm serious y'all; I live in Florida, I'm NOT sleeping with red ants, snakes, "skeeters", etc. etc. not to mention the occasional gator or panther.
A vacation is the Hilton in Greece or Italy.
Camping to me is a place on the beach in a moderately priced motel (with a pool).

And this is my inspiration card for the

 camping theme

for this week's challenge (#71) at

 Tammy's Scrapin' Corner

Supplies and Materials:
Eureka Image - Lounging Cat

It's A Winged Thing

I hope you had a great Father's Day Weekend making and reflecting on sweet memories!

My inspiration card for
Challenge  #67
Anything With Wings
is full of purples and mint greens

It is the Garden Square Digi from

The image was colored based upon
accessories I had on had and
knew I wanted to add to this creation.
Card base is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches (purple) layered with a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inch piece of black card stock.  Ribbons (purple sheer base with 1/8" mint green satin) were added on a diagonal and attached with Scor-Tape (1/8" is the only size I own right now, but can see that some larger size should be on my wish list).

The digital was completed with colored pencils and cut to
 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches
(much larger than just the image itself).
I added 1/8" scor tape around the black edge of the image and
applied glitter, the remaining 1/8" white card stock was
 distressed with Shabby Shutters.
The image was then mounted to a piece of the purple card stock,
cut to size and "aged" with a distressing tool.

The two layers with attached with foam tape.
Embellishments were added to corners, image and card base.

Materials Used:

  • Colorbox Card Stock (purple, black, white)
  • Recollections Sparkle Embossing Powder (Glitz)
