I'm curious if anyone noticed that I attached my Designer Paper upside down on my card base!

Love To Create wants you to use 3 of your favorite embellishments for their challenge this week.

I've used Lace, Ribbon and Rhinestones!!!

This is, sadly, my last post as a DT for Love To Create.  I have fulfilled my term and have decided to take a little break, especially through the holidays, to re-group a little bit.  You will still be seeing my creativity periodically and I am hoping the the extra time I'm gaining will allow me to work on some altered art/re-use projects that have been formulating in my idea center and in my sketch book.

Hopefully you will follow along and see what creations find themselves in the studio in the near future.

This digital image I'm using today is from one of our very generous sponsors,
Wings and Willows
It's called Save The Date
and you can purchase it here.

I'm curious if anyone noticed that I taped my designer paper upside down on my card base!

We are now offering the WINNER(s) the opportunity to join us
as a Guest Designer for a future Challenge! Good Luck!!!

Our Guest Designer spots are presently filled through the end of 2013.
We are starting a waiting list for 2014.

FOSTV is challenging you to "Torn Paper"

There is a whole lot of tearing and distressing going on here in my studio today for the newest challenge this week at

 FOSTV

 (Friends of Speedy TV)

a Mark Hendrich Company.

You are also getting a sneak peek at the

 Happy Anniversary

 sentiment
(so nice and LARGE - for quick and easy cards like this)
from the
 November release

 "Out On The Town 2013"

 stamp set.

I cut a piece of designer paper (Simple Stories - "Documented" 6 x 6) 5 1/4" x 4" and tore the edges all the way around, and inked with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Stain.

Once the stain was dry, I attached it to my Craft Card Stock 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" base

I cut a piece of scrap Craft Paper at 5 1/4 x 4 and painted the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Paint (Antiqued Bronze)
I cut another piece of scrap Craft Paper (Colorbok) 5 x 3 3/4 and attached it to the larger (painted) panel with my ATG.  This piece was then attached to the inside of the card with the ATG.
The tag was cut using a Best of 2007 Images cartridge with my Cricut from scrap Craft paper and "painted" with the same Antiqued Bronze Distress Paint.
The sentiment was stamped on Craft paper with Color Box Archival Black Pigment ink (and then promptly smeared - why not).
I had a couple of bronze butterflies  (Special Moments Scrapbooking - Dollar Tree) which I added to the Tag, The sentiment was attached to the tag frame with microdots adhesive.

The tag was attached to the front of the card with foam tape

Thanks so very much for taking the time to check out my creation today,
I appreciate it more than you know!
I would love it if you would become a follower of my blog - and I will be sure to return the favor.

Have a blessed day!

Sunset At Sea

That is the name of this gorgeous digital image from
that I used for my Design Team inspiration card for the
 Summer Fun Challenge #69 at
 this week.

The image was colored with colored pencils.
No, I STILL don't have markers (frowning).

I cut the image, mounted it on yellow photo paper, trimmed to fit, and then on black card stock.
All the layers were attached with ATG tape.
Being the
"bling, glitter and sparkle"
 girl that I am,
it was difficult for me to leave this as a
CAS
(Clean and Simple)
 card.
I decided to justs let the image speak for itself
(although I have to admit, if time allows,
I'm going to try to do another with some "extras").

Wishing you and beautiful and blessed day!
Trudy
